The Crime Stoppers tip line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. All calls are handled by a secure call center that:

  • Does not record conversations

  • Does not use caller ID

  • Protects the caller’s anonymity at every step

  • When a tip is received, the Crime Stoppers Coordinator makes initial inquiries and then forwards the information to the appropriate law enforcement agency for investigation.

Updating or Checking a Tip

  • To update a current tip, call the anonymous tip line at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or update your tip online using your tip number and password.

  • To check the status of a tip, call 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) and press option 1 on Wednesdays between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
