Clearwater Police detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the robbery of the Family Dollar located at 1200 North Myrtle Avenue in Clearwater. According to detectives, at approximately 7:15 p.m. on March 4, 2015, the suspect entered the business and pointed a firearm at the clerk behind the counter and demanded money. The clerk quickly ran out of the store through the back door. The suspect then ran out of the front doors and to the east. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’ 7” – 5’ 10” tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. Anyone with information about this robbery, wishing to remain anonymous, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
