Regarding the below alert from the Treasure Island Police Department, Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect involved in this case. Anyone with any information regarding the identity and whereabouts of the suspect and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application, which is a free download for iPhone and Android. Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for a cash reward. tipd 1 The Treasure Island Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance withidentifying an armed robbery suspect. On 30 July 2016 at approximately 0800 hours, an armed robbery occurred at 12001 Gulf Blvd., Circle K. A white male, pictured below, entered the store, already wearing a Halloween-style, black withred vertical stripes plastic face mask and tan, possibly mechanic’s gloves. The suspect demanded the clerk open the cash drawer with his gun drawn. He then demanded the clerk give him whatever was under the cash drawer. The gun appears to be a black, semi-automatic hand gun. The suspect was also wearing a black hoodie; with a white Nike Swish on the left chest area, as well as tan/khaki cargo pants. The clerk stated the suspect was possibly disguising his voice in some way, either on his own or with an unseen device. The suspect made off with $151.00 in cash. No one was injured. tipd 2 Treasure Island Police Officers responded to the area within minutes and set up a perimeter around the store. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit and Flight unit assisted, however the suspect was not located. If any information is obtained, please contact this agency.
